Warm Feet Warm Hearts:
Restoring Confidence Through Basic Necessities

The Warm Feet Warm Hearts program provides new shoes, warm jackets, and sweatshirts to elementary students in need. By ensuring children have proper clothing, the program helps build self-esteem and allows students to focus on their education without the distraction or embarrassment of worn-out attire.

PROVIDING COMFORT AND DIGNITY TO CHANDLER'S STUDENTS

Children who live in poverty often go without basic decent clothing. Fragile and self conscious, they want to blend in with their peers rather than stand out. The Warm Feet Warm Hearts Program supplies new shoes and warm jackets and sweatshirts to elementary students. Working closely with the schools and local youth organizations, children are identified and given new shoes and jackets.

CUSD HEALTH ASSISTANT
“Children come to school embarrassed, wearing shoes with soles worn completely through. By nature, they like to be part of the whole, but may be teased and hurt by other students. When a child loses his self esteem he becomes withdrawn and frustrated. His chances of success are diminished.”
